How to MindCraft

MindCrafting is intentionally choosing actions from your psychological toolbox to shape your experiences and build skills for thriving. MindCrafting involves adapting credible evidence into actions, testing those actions, and recording results.

MindCrafting is turning on sandbox mode for the self.

Here's what to pay attention to when you MindCraft:

  • How did the task in this MindCraft Challenge work for you? Did it work like it should have? What did you notice while you were completing the task?
  • Are you likely to adopt the task into your toolkit? Why or why not?
  • Did you make any modifications to the task? If so, what were they and why did you make them?
  • If the task was already part of your toolkit, how has it been helpful, and how might you improve its use?
  • MindCraft Challenges are part of the Introduction to Psychology course taught by Karl Bailey.
